Economic inequality is widespread and to some extent inevitable; the World Inequality Report provides an avenue to properly monitor and address rising inequality to help prevent it from leading to various sorts of political, economic, and social catastrophes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>New Zealand\u2019s Health and Independence Report 2017<\/strong><br \/>\nIn May 2018, the New Zealand Government announced the world\u2019s first measures of success combining the nation&#8217;s wellbeing alongside financial measures. The Health and Independence Report 2017 was published by the New Zealand Ministry of Health to provide a clear baseline for the state of the nation&#8217;s health from which progress will be assessed. The report references Te Whare Tapa Wh\u0101, a M\u0101ori philosophy towards health based on a holistic model of health and wellbeing, acknowledging the role of social determinants and environmental factors in sustaining both good and poor health.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Mindful UK Report<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Mindful UK Report, the first policy document of its kind, seeks to address mental health concerns in the areas of education, health, the workplace and the criminal justice system through the application of mindfulness interventions.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/news\/worlds-first-global-ministerial-mental-health-summit-to-be-held-in-london\">Global Ministerial Mental Health Summit<\/a><\/strong><em><br \/>\n<\/em>World\u2019s first global ministerial mental health summit\u2014a global meeting to help countries work together to deal with stigma and confront other issues to do with mental ill health. <em><br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>How Costa Rica Gets it Right<\/strong><br \/>\nAs part of the Wellbeing Alliance, Costa Rica is implementing ideas, highlighted by the International Commission on the Measurement of Economic Performance and Social Progress, for constructing better welfare metrics that promote democracy, sustainability, and inclusive growth.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/worldhappiness.report\/ed\/2018\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>World Happiness Report<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\nThe World Happiness Report is a landmark survey of the state of global happiness. The World Happiness Report 2018, ranks 156 countries by their happiness levels, and 117 countries by the happiness of their immigrants.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Inclusive Development Index <\/strong><br \/>\nThe Inclusive Development Index (IDI) is an annual assessment of 103 countries\u2019 economic performance that measures how countries perform on eleven dimensions of economic progress in addition to GDP. It has 3 pillars; growth and development; inclusion and; intergenerational equity \u2013 sustainable stewardship of natural and financial resources. The IDI is a project of the World Economic Forum\u2019s System Initiative on the Future of Economic Progress, which aims to inform and enable sustained and inclusive economic progress through deepened public-private cooperation through thought leadership and analysis, strategic dialogue and concrete cooperation, including by accelerating social impact through corporate action.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.happinesscouncil.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Global Happiness Policy Report<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\nThe Global Happiness Policy Report is produced by the Global Happiness Council (GHC) and contains papers by expert working groups on happiness for good governance. This report provides evidence and policy recommendations on best practices to promote happiness and well-being.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/standards.ieee.org\/develop\/indconn\/ec\/ead_well_being_v2.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Well-being Metrics Standard for Ethical Artificial Intelligence <\/a><\/strong><br \/>\nFor autonomous and intelligent systems (A\/IS) to demonstrably advance the well-being of humanity, there needs to be concise and useful indicators to measure those advancements.
