Global Wellness Institute Releases Preliminary Agenda for Its First Wellness Real Estate and Communities Symposium<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Full-day event on September 28 will bring together experts to give a 360-degree view of the future for \u201cbuilding well\u201d: from the new concepts that are shaking up architecture and design (whether materials or new technologies) to the hottest trends in investment, development and programming for wellness real estate projects <\/em><\/p>\n

Miami, FL \u2013 August 18, 2021 <\/strong>\u2013 The nonprofit Global Wellness Institute (GWI), the leading research organization for the global wellness industry, today released an early agenda for its first-ever Wellness Real Estate and Communities Symposium<\/a> being held Tuesday, September 28, in Manhattan.<\/p>\n

The all-day event is expressly designed to give attendees a comprehensive, cohesive view of the entire \u201cbuilding well\u201d landscape. One cornerstone will be new research from the GWI<\/a>, the International Well Being Institute<\/a>, and the Center for Active Design<\/a> on how the demand for wellness homes and communities has been supercharged by the pandemic.<\/p>\n

The agenda will also bring together experts from every sector of the market\u2014architects, designers, developers, investors, medical leaders and analysts\u2014to tackle the big questions. How do we define this market? Who is investing and why? What are the biggest opportunities and trends? What do people want? Who are the key demographics? What are the most eye-opening new ideas in design and programming? How global is this business, and how are different regions innovating? What\u2019s the real impact on people and the planet? The packed day of keynotes and panels will feature everything from videos from the developers of incredibly diverse new wellness real estate projects all over the world to a panel with high-profile media on the most crucial trends they see unfolding in the space.<\/p>\n

The symposium is a hybrid event, offering both in-person and virtual registration, and will take place from 8 AM\u20134 PM, September 28, at etc. venues (601 Lexington Ave. NYC). In-person attendees are also invited to a VIP reception at Delos\u2019<\/a> NYC headquarters (the event\u2019s marquee sponsor) the evening before.<\/p>\n

Dr. Richard H. Carmona<\/strong>, 17th US Surgeon General and Chief of Health Innovations, Canyon Ranch, will explore the profound, unexpected impact of the built environment on human health with his keynote, \u201cEpigenetics and the Built Environment.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Alfredo Carvajal, <\/strong>Grupo Espiritu\u2019s Advisor and Delos Executive VP, will present a timely look at \u201cRancho La Puerta Residences, Mexico: Case Study in Opening During the Pandemic.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n

Clodagh,<\/strong> founder and CEO of the award-winning design firm Clodagh, designer of a portfolio of major sustainability- and wellness-focused projects across 24 countries, will deliver a provocative keynote: \u201cWhat Is Real Estate?\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Rachel Hodgdon<\/strong>, president and CEO of the International WELL Being Institute<\/strong>, a global leader in transforming building and communities in ways that help people thrive, will share new data\u2014and trends and technologies\u00ad\u2014now shaking up real estate and design.<\/p>\n

Katherine Johnston & Ophelia Yeung<\/strong>, Senior Research Fellows at the GWI, will present \u201cSizing the Global Wellness Real Estate Economy: Looking Beyond COVID-19\u201d<\/em>\u2014all-new data on the current global wellness real estate and communities markets and the projected growth post-COVID.
